Quick Help - What to do if you or someone you know has been raped or sexually assaulted!

This is not your fault!!  No one has the right to do anything to you without your consent.

Go to a safe place and call 9-1-1.

Do not shower, bathe, douche or change clothes.  You will destroy evidence.

Seek medical attention.  Go to a hospital emergency room or physician for treatment and testing.

Seek support.  Call the Rape Crisis Center for free support services at any time in your recovery.

Report the crime to law enforcement.  Reporting qualifies you for victim assistance funds, but does not require you to prosecute.
